Scholarship Program Purpose
In keeping with its charge to “foster the growth and development of the parking industry and parking professionals,” the Pacific Intermountain Parking and Transportation Association (PIPTA) will offer scholarship support for a variety of professional development activities.
The Scholarship Committee shall review applications for completeness, eligibility, and support of the scholarships’ intended purposes. The Scholarship Committee shall be responsible for any ancillary activities required for the administration of the PIPTA Scholarship Program. The Scholarship Committee shall make recommendations to the Board regarding the award of scholarships and the Board shall authorize the award and release of funds.
When scholarships are supplied from the PIPTA Scholarship Fund or General Fund, applicants shall be advised that their scholarship is provided by the PIPTA and “with the generous support of the association membership.”
When scholarships are directly supported by a sponsor, applicants shall be advised that their scholarship is provided by the PIPTA “with the generous support of [sponsor name].”
