All requests for refunds must be made in writing (email) and made by the attendee or credit card holder. PIPTA reserves the right to deny refunds. Attendees may cancel their registration with the applicable cancellation fee if written (email) notification is sent to PIPTA and received by 5:00 pm PST at least 15 business days prior to the start of the event. A cancellation fee of $75 will be subtracted from the registration fee and the remainder will be refunded. PIPTA cannot postpone registrations and/or transfer fees to future conferences. Cancellations made after the cancellation deadline and no shows for the conference will result in forfeiture of the entire registration fee.
Exceptions to the Cancellation Policy: PIPTA recognizes that serious issues may arise that could prevent an attendee from cancelling his/her registration within the time frame prescribed above. There are four (4) acceptable reasons for cancelling after the cancellation deadline:
Serious illness or disabling injury (as determined by the PIPTA board) – either you or an immediate family member (spouse, child, parent, grandchild, grandparent, etc.)
Death in the immediate family
Court appearance or jury duty
Unexpected military duty call-up
In the event the registrant is no longer able to attend the conference, substitutions of a business colleague/co-worker (must also be a current, active PIPTA member) will be accepted until 1 week prior to the start of the event at 5:00 pm PST. The original registrant must submit the replacement's name and contact information in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
No Show Policy
If one of the reasons listed above prevented you from attending the conference, you may request a refund, minus the cancellation fee, in writing (email) to PIPTA within ten (10) business days following the final date of the conference. The written email request must be accompanied by meaningful documentation supporting the claim that the situation physically prevented the registrant from attending the conference, through no fault on the part of the attendee. Approved requests will be issued a refund less the applicable cancellation fee of $75.
No Suitcasing Policy
Please note that while all conference attendees are welcome at the Expo, any attendee with a non-exhibitor registration who is observed soliciting business in the aisles or other public spaces or in another company's booth, will be asked to leave the conference immediately and not allowed to participate in the remainder of the conference. Conference fees paid will not be refunded. Additional penalties may apply. Please report any violation you observe to PIPTA conference staff.
