Parking & Mobility Pulse

10 am MDT/ 9 am PDT

Join us for our upcoming Parking & Mobility Pulse virtual meeting to help our members and friends collaborate with industry partners providing indicators to assist in navigating our dynamic and changing industry. The PMP sessions are intended to inform, as well as build a potential operational toolkit of next steps.

Topic: "Situational Awareness & Personal Protection" presented by Travis Hargitt, Senior Field Operations Manager with FLASH Parking.

People are passionate about parking! Handling parking situations, particularly when emotions run high, demands a keen understanding of potential conflicts and emotions that can become negative. Frontline staff should be well-trained to navigate such scenarios. It is crucial to maintain situational awareness and understand how to diffuse tensions before they escalate. Protective measures, both procedural and interpersonal, are vital to ensure everyone's safety using proven strategies.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify scenarios that have the potential to place staff in harm's way.

  • Learn basic tools to maintain/promote staff situational awareness.

  • Acquire tools to maintain personal protection and actions to take.
